NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH CONSULTANTS CC (NEHC CC) is an Approved Inspection Authority in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (85 of 1993). (Certificate No.: OH0057-CI016) SA and A.I.A 18/67 Namibia, Labour Act, 1992 (Act 6 of 1992) as amended under the Labour Act 2007, (Act 11 of 2007). NEHC CC also acquired ISO/IEC 17020 accreditation in 2014.

NEHC CC is an International SHEQ Solution Provider. We assist clients to meet their obligations at all levels of SHEQ through formulation, development, implementation and effective maintenance of proactive operational programmes.

We provide our services progressively through Assessing, Monitoring, Consulting and Training. We also provide technical assistance to management in the effective compliance with the relevant statutory provisions and standards

NEHC CC was started in 1994 by Johan Cornelissen an Occupational Hygienist and Environmental Assessment Practitioner, as a consultancy company for SHEQ. Since inception NEHC has expanded significantly. Johan worked for the Department of Health and Social Development and Municipalities where he gained valuable experience in the enforcement of statutory requirements. Since 1994 Johan started National Environmental Health Consultants where he could then assist companies to comply with the applicable legislation.

NEHC has years of working experience at Corporate, Regional and National level. Specialising in the design, development and implementation of effective proactive Policies, Strategies, Programmes, Legal Compliance and Management Systems of Occupational Health, Safety, Environment and Quality development. E.g.: NEHC was closely involved in the planning of the plant layout and process flows of Poultry abattoirs and meat processing plants. (Chamdor abattoir in Krugersdorp) Meatco Abbatoirs in Namibia. (Windhoek, Oshakati, Katima Malilu and Okahandja. Planning and risk assessments from pens to by products and tannery. NEHC is also involved with one of the 5 registered night game culling teams in Namibia to facilitate the statutory requirements with regards to meat inspection as per EU Standards.
